Sunday volunteer
teams
Name of Group: Sunday AM Volunteer
Teams
Coordinator: Marilynn Brodie
Committee: Responsible
to Committee on Worship (Chair: Lori
Stewart)
Purpose: The
Sunday AM volunteers are the face of hospitality at Knox-Met on Sunday morning. They also help with parts of the worship
service each Sunday. The Sunday Morning
volunteer team members are vital to making the worship experience at Knox-Met
welcoming and meaningful.
Would
you like to be part of this vital ministry at Knox-Met? Join one of our Sunday AM Volunteer
teams.
We
currently have five teams – each with a leader, 8 – 10 regular members and some
spares. From September through June,
team members are responsible for greeting, ushering, making and serving coffee
before and after worship, working the welcome desk, leading hymn sing, lighting
candles, reading scripture, leading the community prayers (twice a month) and
collecting and counting the offering.
Each team covers the duties for a month, twice a year.
The
team leaders meet with their team members prior to assigned months to work out
the schedule – team members can choose the tasks they prefer on the dates they
are available. We need more volunteers
for our teams. Please contact Marilynn Brodie (dmbrodie@telus.net
or 780-439-3575) for more information.
