Sunday Morning Volunteers“volunteers”
Knox-Met Committees“committees” Tuesdays beginning November 24, 2009 – Exercise Program for Seniors Youth Group Intended for Junior High and High School aged youth,
activities take place throughout the year,
facilitated by the youth worker on staff.
Watch for announcements in The Morning Glory. Church School – Knox-Met Church School will have two classes this year Knox-Met Women's Group – Join this friendly group of women who
meet on the second Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. An informative program is planned for
each meeting, and a ministry of hospitality is offered through the preparation and serving of
supper at the Service for Special People twice a year, catering for memorial services and the
Poinsettia Tea, and the presentation of bibles to Grade 3 children of the Church School. Women’s Breakfasts – Join other women from Knox-Met at the Upper Crust Cafe (10909 86 Avenue)
on the second Saturday of alternate months at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and great conversation with Jean Greenhill and Kathie Reith. Women’s Retreat – a yearly retreat is held in April
at Rundle’s Mission Comfort and Joy – a yearly retreat day or evening is held
before Advent Men's Breakfasts – A popular series of four stimulating Saturday morning
breakfast talks organized by Les Duxbury, Steve Hoskin, Darrell Yaremko, and our excellent cook, Chris Meintzer.
Tickets are on sale after morning service for three successive Sunday's prior to each breakfast. Everyone (male or female) is welcome!
Culture Club– Poetry nights, film nights, concerts, plays and other cultural Poinsettia Tea– This traditional fall event is co-hosted by the Congregational Life Committee and the Knox-Met Women's Group.View pictures of the"Vintage Yuletide Tea" Potluck Lunches – periodically after church lunches are organized Church Picnic – each June a lunch and games are planned Services for Special People – in the fall and spring a worship
service is held for people from care homes in Edmonton followed by supper Church Library – a small library with current theological books is located on the main floor outside the sanctuary
Seniors
This program includes walking, strength work in chairs
and stretching.
Clare and Willie Algajer will meet you in the lounge from 1:30 - 2:15 p.m.
Youth
Children
for children aged 3-12, and a separate youth program for those in Grades 7-12. Our nursery welcomes
toddlers and infants, and parents can remain there with their children during worship if they wish.
The School is introducing an exciting new curriculum entitled "Seasons of the Spirit."

Men
– All
outings are planned throughout the year. An annual film series on a particular theme takes place on
four Sunday evenings during Lent.
