FACILITIES BOOKING INFORMATION

 

FEES:       Outside organizations and other church groups will be encouraged to help defray the cost of heating, lighting and cleaning expenses based on the following fee schedule:

 

                  Security                             - $  90 (required for all events)

                  Gym                                  - $150 for full day usage

                                                            - $  35/hr

                  Kitchen                              - $  50

                  Lounge                              - $100

                  Choir Room                      - $  30

                  Sanctuary                          - $225

                     - Rehearsal                    - $  70 (maximum 2 hours; $35 each additional hour)

                  Custodian                          - $  90

                  Wedding                            - $750 (includes custodian & organist)

 

* Please Note: Knox-Met functions (i.e. funerals) will take precedence over any and all other events, even if booked previously.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Booking:  to be arranged through the church office in person.

2.     All individuals/groups must exit church by 10:30 p.m.

3.     Parking:  Please adhere to parking regulations.  No public parking at Safeway.

4.     Use of church facilities will be according to the following priority system:

 

            Priority #                                                        Type of Group

 

                  1                                             Knox-Met church members, committees and other organizations.

                  2                                             Presbytery and Conference groups

                  3                                             Other Christian groups

                  4                                             Community service and charitable groups

                  5                                             Non-Christian religious groups

                  6                                             Others

 

5.   No gambling of any kind will be permitted in the church building.

6.   No liquor, whether for sale or consumption, will be permitted.

7.   In the interest of fire safety, smoking anywhere within the church building is not permitted.

8.   Preference will be given to activities that are of benefit to the community as a whole, as in the case of social action and social service related functions.  Community use will be encouraged.

9.   Preference will be given to those who can least afford to pay for facilities.

10. Church facilities will be made available as a poling station.

11. Candle usage must adhere to policy standards.

12. Abuse policy standards must be adhered to (see attached).

13. The person booking the church is responsible for conduct and security while in the building. 

      Ensure lights are turned off and area left tidy
