Activities

Besides the regular worship services, there are many other activities taking place at Knox Metropolitan. Notice of upcoming events is given each Sunday in the Church Bulletin and the “Morning Glory”, the Knox Metropolitan newsletter which appears together with the Bulletin.


Regularly scheduled activities include:

Senior Choir (adults). Practice Thursday at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary under
the direction of Warren Mack
Chancel Ringers (hand bells for adults). Practice Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the
sanctuary under the direction of Lois Samis Lund
Bread & Soup, followed by Congregational discussions; last Sunday of the
month following the worship service
The Library is open Sunday morning


There are other activities which happen as seasonal or special events, and are announced as they occur. Some of these are:

Women’s Retreat, usually just after Easter
Service for Special People; for those who would have difficulty attending
Church, typically because of mobility problems. Normally held in May
and September
Church Picnic/Neighbourhood Sunday, usually in June
Rummage Sale, usually in September
Comfort and Joy Women’s Day, usually in November
9th Street Players (drama group for children and adults) - for special events
